Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the DataInq platform at datainq.co.uk. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. DataInq is a trading name of Oluwatobiloba Adeleke, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom.

The service

DataInq provides access to UK datasets through a web platform. We offer a free trial and paid subscription plans with varying levels of access, as described on our pricing page.

Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

Subscriptions and payment

• Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through Stripe. Prices are shown on our pricing page in GBP.
• Your subscription renews automatically each month until cancelled.
• You can cancel at any time through the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you retain access until then.
• We do not offer refunds for partial months, except where required by law.
• We may change our prices with reasonable notice. Changes will not affect your current billing period.

Free trial

We offer a free trial that provides full access for a limited period. No payment is required to start a trial. When the trial ends, access reverts to the free tier unless you subscribe to a paid plan.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the platform or other users' accounts.
• Resell, redistribute, or scrape data in breach of the access limits of your plan.
• Interfere with or disrupt the platform's operation.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.

Data accuracy

The datasets provided through DataInq are sourced from third parties, including public data from the Office for National Statistics. While we aim to provide accurate and up-to-date information, we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any particular purpose of the data. You use the data at your own risk.

Availability

We aim to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, updates, or experience downtime. We are not liable for any loss resulting from service unavailability.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, DataInq is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from your use of the service. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.

Termination

You may stop using the service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms. On termination, your right to use the service ends immediately.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
